Established in 1981 by volunteers, The Family Crisis Center provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Northern Cameron and Willacy counties.
Services include:
- 24 hour hotline 2
- 4 hour emergency shelter for victims and their children
- 24 hour crisis intervention
- 24 hour advocacy
- 24 hour hospital accompaniment
- Transportation to a safe place
- Counseling services
- Legal Advocacy
- Law enforcement
- Protective orders
- Court accompaniment
- Educational programs for schools and community/professional groups
The Family Crisis Center provides free and confidential services to Victims of Family Violence, and Adult & Child Victims of Stranger and Non-Stranger Sexual Assault in Northern Cameron County and all of Willacy County.
All services are available by appointment or walk-in basis.
