Families in crisis, inc. (FIC) was established in 1980 to assist and empower victims of family violence and sexual assault in Bell, Coryell, and Hamilton counties in Texas, including Fort Hood, the largest U.S. military installation.
What started as a grassroots effort by volunteers has since evolved into a multi-program, comprehensive social service organization that continues to serve survivors of family/sexual violence as well as veterans and their families and the homeless and at-risk for homelessness populations.
